The re-opening of Borough Market
As we’re sure you’re aware, from tomorrow the hospitality industry can finally open again. Although it has been a long few months, we’re not diving in head first just yet. Our Borough Market stall has always been hugely popular so we have felt the strain of not being able to operate as usual. But in order for us to open safely, we have put some social distance rules in place and we respectfully ask that all of our customers stick to these in order to keep yourselves and our staff members safe during this difficult time.
So what are we changing?
1 - Before we had up to eight tables outside, however, we are now limiting that to two so we can enforce and comply with social distancing. This means that people will be able to eat oysters on our premises, but obviously the number we can have will be limited.
2 - Hand sanitiser. We will do all we can to make our customers feel comfortable and at ease while at Richard Haward’s Oysters. There will be sanitiser available and we ask that all customers use it before and after using any condiments.
3 - We are now accepting card payments as well as cash. Please use contactless where possible to minimise the contact you will need to have with our staff and vice versa.
4 - Please do not consume alcohol or food on our premises that has not been purchased from us. We want to keep trading and do not want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. Social distancing is to be taken seriously and our staff must be treated with respect at all times.
5 - All of our staff will shuck wearing gloves and aprons. They will be sanitising and cleaning their hands regularly.
That’s it from us - we are hoping that you will visit us and support small businesses such as us. We appreciate your custom throughout the lockdown of the UK and are here to advise and make you all happy!
