Native Oyster Taster Box

Our native oyster taster boxes are back! Included in this taster box is: 4 medium native oysters, 3 small rock oysters, 3 medium rock oysters, 2 large rock oysters, 2 medium cherrystone clams, 1 lemon, 1 lime, 1 jar of white wine shallot vinegar and 1 jar of shallot vinegar. You can also choose whether to have a shucking knife or not.

Mail Orders

We offer delivery on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. There is a minimum spend of £15.00 before the delivery fee is applied.

Oyster Shell Candles

Hand-made candles using oyster shells from our own oyster beds. They're made with a vegan friendly soy wax and have a fresh linen fragrance.

Borough Market

From December 2nd, we will be open every Monday in December. You can pre-order oysters for collection up until 3pm on Christmas Eve. We are closed the 25th, 26th and 27th of December.

Richard Haward's Oysters supply some of the finest oysters in the world. For eight generations we have been cultivating our Mersea oysters in the River Blackwater, purifying them with that same sea water, giving them their unique and remarkable flavour. 

Borough Market

Borough Market is situated in Southwark, near London Bridge, and is a bustling hub of foodie delights. We orginally began selling our Mersea oysters at the market in the early 2000's, and saw the city's love for our oysters grow. We have a permanent stand on Stoney Street, which enables us to provide a place for people to sit and slurp our delicious mollusc. We are also licenced, so come and enjoy a chilled glass of wine to accompany your oysters. See below for our opening times, and then come and visit us! We're looking forward to seeing you.
