3 Mersea Rocks and 3 Jersey Rocks

This is perfect for someone who wants to sample both our Mersea rock oysters and Jersey oysters. They both have different tastes and textures.

Our wild Mersea rocks have a high salinity offset by an earthiness from the local marsh grasses which feed the creeks where they grow. They have a punchy long finish.

The Jersey rocks are less salty and have a more minerally flavour profile because of the rocky/sandy coastline where they grow.

With this box, you get 3 Mersea rocks and 3 Jersey rocks and a square handled shucking knife.

Our oysters

Grown on the coast of Mersea Island

Our oysters are grown in the creeks of Mersea Island, where the River Blackwater meets the Essex coast. Cared for by eighth generation oysterman Tom Haward, they’re shaped by the tides, the water and nearly 300 years of family know how, giving every oyster its distinctive clean, briny character.
